oki i did it here's the pages i translated.

A chapter from the manga "Hatarakanai Futari". It reads: #1659 - pipi pi pali ala. Panel 1: Two bugs on the ground. Panel 2: A college aged man is staring at them. He is unemployed. Panel 3: A college aged woman, jan Sima, stares at the scene from panel 2. Panel 4: jan Sima says to the unemployed man, "sina jan suli taso sina lukin e pipi". The man says, "jan Sima". Panel 5: He continues, "mi lukin e pipi taso..." Panel 6: He continues, "sina lukin e mi la sina kama..." Panel 7: He continues, "jan pi pali ala". She spurts out in anger, "o toki ala!" Panel 8: The unemployed man decides to give her a fun fact and says, over the this and the next few panels, "pipi tu tu wan la..." Panel 9: "pipi wan li pali ala" Panel 10: He finishes while pointing at an ant, "sina sona ala sona e ni" and jan Sima says, appearing to be in thought, "a..." Panel 11: she continues, "ken la mi kute e ni tan jan ante". Panel 12: The unemployed man "ni la..."

The second and final page of the manga chapter. It shows jan Sima and the unemployed man still in conversation about ants. It says: Panel 1: Showing some ants on the ground saying "ni li ike" and "mi wile lape" while the unemployed man continues from earlier, "sina kulupu e pipi taso pi pali ala..." Panel 2: He asks, "seme li kama?" jan Sima says, "seme." Panel 3: The unemployed man says, now standing, "pipi mute lon kulupu li kama pali" Panel 4: jan Sima looking surprised, she says, "a! sona musi!" Panel 5: The unemployed man continues talking unexpectedly, "taso..." Panel 5: The camera is back to focusing on the ants while the unemployed man says, "lon kulupu ni kin la..." Panel 6: Showing more ants complaining, he continues, "kipisi lili li awen pali ala." Panel 7: He stares out while the background is dark, except illumated by perhaps his third eye or powerful mind, as if he's saying something impactful, he says, "pipi pi pali ala suli" Panel 8: The camera shows him clenching his fist while he says, "mi wile kama jan sama ni" Panel 9: He looks up, only to realize that jan Sima has disappeared and says, "seme" Panel 10: jan Sima is walking away, saying, "toki ona li weka e sona mi."

    anki actually slaps lmao

for a long period of my life i would always knock on anki and just say “oh srs (spaced repetition system, not that other srs) will never work for me, i’m just not the type of person for it, sorry.” and then i decided to dig up anki to memorize toki pona vocab, and you know what? it actually works! and it’s great! like it’s so nice to just have something that’s like memrise or quizlet or duolingo except it’s way more flexible and it doesn’t pressure me into paying a subscription or anything. it’s also really forgiving because i’m the one who’s grading my own progress rather than some computer so i can rank how well i’m doing to make sure i keep a steady pace of challenge. i think i bought the ios app for it like once sometime 5 or 6 years ago and i was able to use it and dump my stuff in it and it works completely fine and it’ll probably continue to work fine for the rest of my life and wow. huge props to anki, if you ever find that you need to memorize vocab or anything anki is an easy, fun, and cheap (or free) way to do it. i know this is really long and messy and i’m sorry about that but i have adhd lmao.

    tldr: yeah anki’s good.
